Educational talk on “Limb and foot conformation, it’s effect on performance and how shoeing can help”. Friday 24th February at The Cabin Equestrian Centre, Inverurie at 7.30p.m. We are delighted to have Jason Sim giving the talk and we are hoping to have plenty of photos/videos of various limbs, feet and shoes to make it easier for everyone to see and understand. The evening will be aimed towards anyone with an interest in horses, both novice and more experienced and will also be excellent preparation for anyone interested in starting/progressing through BHS exams. Lungeing and Long reining Evening. Wednesday 14th March at 7.00p.m. at ARC, Oldfold Farm, Milltimber, Aberdeen. We will explain how to use all types of lunge equipment, gadgets and also demonstrate/explain long reining. Dependant on numbers, there may also be an option to “have a go”. Training day for the Intermediate Teaching Exam on Wed March 28th at the Cabin. 10am with Chief Examiner Maggie Inglis. Maggie will discuss the requirements of the exam, giving tips on how to perform well and what the examiner is looking for in each section. There will be an opportunity for potential candidates to teach a section (private jump lesson, private dressage lesson, lunge lesson, group lesson). Although the day is aimed towards the Int. Teaching, this day is open to all levels of coaches/instructors. Subsidised by the Jubilee Fund, the cost is £5 if living in the Grampian area or £15 if outwith Grampian.
